The first three years of Diverdeinverde
As we hoped after the rain in 2015, the weather was magnificent and the event saw a growing number of visitors who, from Friday to Sunday, wandered around Bologna – programme in hand – and headed to the parks and gardens in the foothills. The Rossini concerts of the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and the readings of literary works about gardens, by Ad Alta Voce were fascinating, as were the exhibitions and conferences, such as the one held by Eugenio Riccomini under the foliage of the trees in the garden of the Palazzo Hercolani.
These were three magnificent days, with many enthusiastic visitors, most of whom from Bologna, but also from other Italian cities as well as countries around the world. We are proud that, thanks to our agreement with the Opera Pia Sordomute Povere, we were able to use the magnificent Orti di Orfeo as a logistical base for the event.
We are happy that this year reconfirmed the excellence of an idea allowing people to grasp a unique and fascinating aspect of Bologna, entwining the nature, culture and history of our city, and offering a special opportunity to admire so many diverse places that stand out for their distinctive atmospheres and many nuances of beauty.
Once again, we are grateful to the owners of the gardens, organizations, institutes, museums, companies, associations, the young people wearing the Diverdeinverde T-shirts, the volunteer ecological guards, musicians, actors and actresses, artists and all the friends who gave us a hand, and those who participated in the event, visiting the gardens with a sense of respect and enthusiasm.
