Diverdeinverde
Two days to discover that Bologna is a garden
Bologna is preparing to once again reveal its most precious and hidden treasures. For an entire weekend, Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th, 2026, the doors of historic buildings will open, the hillside walls will become thresholds to unexpected worlds, and the city will reveal itself through the silence and beauty of its private gardens.
This year, we’ll accompany you on a discovery of 44 green spaces: from the secret cloisters of the city center to the expansive views of the hills, to the gardens of the plains just outside the city.
It’s a unique opportunity to see Bologna with new eyes, guided by the colors of spring and the stories of those who care for this heritage every day.

Discover the wisteria map
Spring is here, and Bologna is already turning lilac. This year, “Where Wisteria Blooms“, our shared mapping project, is back.
Thanks to reports from residents, we’ve created a map of the most beautiful and spectacular wisterias in the city and the metropolitan area. It’s an invitation to wander independently and let the scent and color of these splendid plants guide you.
☘️ Explore the map and discover all the curiosities about this flower.
☘️ Get involved.
Send us your reports and photos via email or on our social media channels. Beauty is more beautiful when shared.
